The Government of Telangana State has come up with a significant update regarding the Indiramma Housing Scheme, that the Indiramma Housing Scheme to Cover More than 20 Lakh Beneficiaries across Telangana State. According to this major update, the Government will add more beneficiaries in the upcoming phases of this housing scheme. Under this scheme, the Government aims to provide cheap and affordable housing facilities and financial assistance to all the poor and homeless citizens within the State. About Indiramma Housing Scheme
The Chief Minister of Telangana State, Mr. Revanth Reddy, has launched this remarkable and impactful housing initiative known as Indiramma Housing Scheme on 11th March 2025. According to this scheme, the Government aims to provide financial help of INR 5 Lakh to those who have registered land in their names so that they can start the construction of their houses. And for those who do not have land, the government will provide residential units of about 70-80 yards along with financial help. For SC/ST categories, the financial assistance is about INR 6 Lakh will be provided to them. This initiative will target homeless citizens of Telangana State, along with infrastructure development across Telangana State. The Government has allocated a total budget of INR 22,500 crore for the implementation of this scheme.
Objective of Indiramma Housing Scheme
The main objective behind this Indiramma Housing Scheme is to provide residential housing benefits to all the landless and homeless citizens across the state. According to this scheme, the Government will provide financial help and residential units to all the eligible citizens. The residential units provided by the government will have all the basic amenities such as Electricity, Sanitation, water, etc. Priority will be given to Widows, Transgenders individuals, Sanitation Workers, Agricultural Workers, Dalits, SC/ST citizens, Disabled individuals, etc

Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be permanent residents of Telangana State.
- Applicants must not be receiving benefits from any other Housing initiatives.
- Citizens must belong to the lower or middle-class category, or be from a low-income household.
- Applicants must not own any permanent house or property in Telangana.
Ineligibility Criteria
- Citizens residing outside Telangana are not eligible.
- Citizens who have already received the benefits of other housing schemes are not eligible.
- Citizens who already own a property or a pucca house are not eligible.
